African Drum Review

African Drum beats out its rhythm on a 5×4 grid with 10 lines. Two reels sync on every base-game spin, wilds that land on them expand, and a Retro Bet unlocks multipliers of up to x10.

Ten lines on four rows

Lines pay from left to right with line bets from 0.01 to 10. The top symbol pays 60×, 300× and 1,000× the line bet, and five wilds on a line pay 1,000×.

It uses the same rule set as Shield of Glory, with an African theme instead of warriors.

African Drum Features

Synced reels and expanding wilds

Each base-game spin syncs two random reels so they show identical symbols. A wild landing on a synced reel expands to fill it.

Retro Bet and scatter

Retro Bet costs an extra amount equal to the bet and unlocks a multiplier box worth x1 to x10. The scatter pays 2×, 25× or 250× the total bet for three, four or five, anywhere on the reels.

RTP and maximum win

The demo is set to 95% RTP and caps wins at 1,000× the bet. There are no free spins.

African Drum Pros and Cons

Our Verdict

African Drum keeps the action in the base game. It's a good choice if you like synced reels more than free spins.
