About Hacksaw Gaming

Hacksaw didn't start with slots. Its first products, in 2018, were online scratch cards released under a Malta licence. A full slot suite followed in 2020, and in 2023 the company opened OpenRGS, a platform that lets other studios release their games through Hacksaw's own technology.

In June 2025 Hacksaw listed its shares on Nasdaq Stockholm. Its games are licensed in Denmark, Greece, Romania, Spain, Italy, Sweden and the Isle of Man, and the studio is active in the UK, Ontario and several US states, including New Jersey, Michigan and West Virginia.

What Hacksaw slots play like

Chaos Crew and Le Pharaoh both have a listed maximum of 10,000× the stake, but their features work differently. Chaos Crew builds reel multipliers, while Le Pharaoh links sticky wins with Golden Squares and collection bonuses.

The two games also show how far the studio's style has moved. Chaos Crew from 2020 is a compact 5×5 grid whose free spins pay nothing but the multipliers stacked above the reels. Le Pharaoh from 2024 is far busier: sticky re-drops, collectible Golden Squares and a choice between a free spins round and a Hold & Win round.

Bonus buys and RTP versions

Both games have a bonus buy, but it isn't offered everywhere: Chaos Crew's, for example, is switched off for UK players. Le Pharaoh's buy menu goes further, with four tiers from 3× to 250× the bet.

Hacksaw also lets casinos choose between RTP versions. Le Pharaoh runs at up to 96.18%, but versions at 94.33%, 92.26% and 88.24% exist too. The demos are the easiest way to learn the features; the info screen at your casino tells you which RTP you'd actually get.

Bonus menus and curses

Wanted Dead or a Wild from 2021 offers three different bonuses, from sticky-wild free spins to a two-phase Dead Man's Hand, and VS wilds with multipliers up to x100. Cursed Crypt from 2024 builds everything around curse symbols that spread up the reels and reveal a single symbol or wild.
