Le Pharaoh Review

Le Pharaoh combines an Egyptian setting with the rainbows, clovers and gold collectors familiar from Hacksaw Gaming's Le series. The raccoon in the pharaoh's headdress is easy to recognise, but the main distinction is mechanical: winning symbols can stay in place, leave Golden Squares and set up another feature on the same board. It is a busy six-reel game with several connected bonus routes.

The six-reel layout

The 6×5 field uses nineteen fixed paylines. Scarabs, Egyptian objects and lower-paying card symbols share the board with wilds, rainbows and scatters. Unlike a cluster-paying layout, the regular awards are evaluated along the game's fixed lines.

Le Pharaoh was released in September 2024. The catalogue lists medium volatility and a maximum win of 10,000× the stake. Those headline figures give an outline of the game, but its identity comes from the connection between Sticky Re-Drops and Golden Riches.

Le Pharaoh Features

Sticky Re-Drops and Golden Squares

A winning combination stays in place while the remaining positions receive another drop. New symbols can extend a win or form another one, allowing the sequence to continue. Positions occupied by the qualifying paying symbols become Golden Squares.

A Golden Square is a position on the board, not an immediate extra payout. Its role becomes clear when a Rainbow activates Golden Riches. The feature then uses those marked positions to reveal coins and special symbols. Rainbows and scatters can be held alongside a qualifying sticky combination, but do not themselves create Golden Squares.

This makes the progression easier to follow once its order is understood: line combinations create useful positions, then a Rainbow can convert those positions into a different kind of award.

Golden Riches: coins, clovers and collectors

The revealed coins have cash values measured against the stake. Clovers modify those values, while the Pot of Gold collects them. Green Clovers affect adjacent positions; Golden Clovers apply their multiplier across the relevant coins and collectors on the board.

Collectors can also allow marked positions to reveal symbols again. Golden Riches is therefore more than a single scatter-style payment: values can be changed and collected over a sequence. The visible order of the feature matters to understanding the final total.

The two bonus choices

Three scatters offer a choice between Luck of the Pharaoh and Lost Treasures. Four scatters offer their Super versions. These are different ways to develop the same collection theme, rather than two names for the same free-spin round.

Luck of the Pharaoh starts with ten free spins and keeps Golden Squares between spins. Its Super version starts with twelve and guarantees a Clover when Golden Riches activates. Further scatters can add spins.

Lost Treasures is a Hold & Win-style round with three refilling lives. Coins, Pots of Gold and Stone Tablets appear on its collection board. Tablets can add to a coin value or multiply it. The Super version begins with an Adding Stone Tablet and changes the chances of certain special symbols.

Five scatters bypass the usual choice and trigger Rainbow Over the Pyramids. This awards twelve rounds with a guaranteed Rainbow on every spin and retains the highlighted Golden Squares between spins.

Feature purchases and RTP versions

Where available, the catalogue's documented buy menu includes feature-enhanced spins and purchases of the standard or Super bonuses. These options change the entry route or price; they do not guarantee a profitable round. The active menu is the place to confirm which options a particular version offers.

The highest listed RTP is 96.18%, with lower configurations also documented. This review does not claim that the embedded demo has been verified at the highest setting. Check its information screen for the actual configuration.

Le Pharaoh Pros and Cons

Strengths

  • Sticky wins feed into the Golden Squares system
  • A choice between free-spin and Hold & Win bonuses
  • Clovers, collectors and tablets have distinct roles

Limitations

  • Several connected rules to learn
  • Multiple RTP configurations
  • The large number of named features can make early results harder to follow

Our Verdict

Le Pharaoh’s strongest idea is letting ordinary line wins prepare positions for a later collection feature. The choice between free spins and a Hold & Win round adds variety, although the number of named symbols and bonus versions creates a steeper learning curve than a simple fruit or book slot.
